Golden Stanley Hut

Golden Stanley Hut is a wilderness backcountry hut on the Sunshine Coast Trail, positioned about halfway between the Walt Hill hut and the Troubridge cabin at Jocelyn Pond. It was built during the winter of 2015 and finished in spring 2016, and it sits on a terrace above Stanley Creek in the gully below; its porch and steps are under cover, supporting outdoor cooking while you’re there. The hut sleeps 10 and has an outhouse, a picnic table, a fire pit, and an enclosed sleeping loft with screened windows. Access to water is via a spur trail about 100 m upstream; downstream near where Stanley Creek empties into Lois Lake there’s a swimming hole and a picnic site (qPAWS built as an additional amenity for hikers).
