Healey Creek Hut

Healey Creek Hut is a basic four-bunk hut run by the Department of Conservation for walkers using the Mikonui River–Kakapotahi River area on the West Coast. Use is first come, first served with no bookings required.

The hut has rainwater storage and toilets with pit latrine disposal. Fees aren’t charged, and there’s no fireplace provided; bring your own stove/cooking method and expect to self-supply what you need beyond the water and sleeping space.
