Jim Baird Hut

Jim Baird Hut is a backcountry wilderness hut at Glenaray Station in Southland. The hut is set up for groups, with capacity for 10 bunks, and use requires permission from the run holder; it’s also used by NZDA members.

Inside, the hut setup includes mattresses and toilets. Water comes from a roof-fed collection system into a tank, and a closed fire approach is used (a fire isn’t set up in the hut’s fire area).
