John's Rest

John's Rest is a PATC log cabin backcountry hut near the Pocosin Mission site in Greene County, Virginia. It’s a primitive, members-only cabin reached by a short hike-in (about 0.4 miles) from the trailhead area, and it’s managed by the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club.

The cabin sleeps 6 and is set up for self-sufficient stays. Beds include a double-deck bunk, and it has a wood stove plus a propane cooking stove; use is private (members-only). The setting is associated with the PATC Entry Run trail network, with the cabin located along the hiking access to that area.
