Morris Cabin

Morris Cabin is a backcountry wilderness hut run through the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC), located on the PATC-owned Vining Tract outside Lydia, Virginia. It sleeps up to 12 people and functions as a primitive, off-the-grid cabin with a kitchen/dining room, living room, bunkroom, and additional space in a four-room layout.

Use requires a PATC reservation through the club’s Cabin Rentals system, and the cabin is members-only (renters must have an active PATC membership). Pets are permitted. Expect nightly fees around $35 to $65 depending on season and day of week, and plan to be self-sufficient: pack in your own water, food, and supplies.
