Junction Lake Hut
Junction Lake Hut is a small backcountry hut on Junction Lake in Tasmania’s Walls of Jerusalem National Park, with use by both fishers and bushwalkers. It’s a single-room hut that sleeps 4 and is known for being close to water at the lake.
Don’t rely on the hut as guaranteed shelter: it’s first-come first-served. Plan to carry your own sleeping system (a 4-season tent) and a fuel stove as backup in case the hut is full or in emergency situations.
Overnight walkers in the Walls of Jerusalem area must register for the multi-day walk and carry a valid parks pass for entry to the national park. Fires are prohibited; fuel stove use is the intended cooking method in this area.
