Kaipo Hut

Kaipo Hut is a basic six-bunk backcountry hut in Fiordland National Park, run by the Department of Conservation. It’s free to use and works on a first-come, first-served basis (no bookings required). The hut is set up with mattresses, a fireplace, and toilet facilities including a pit latrine. Drinking water is untreated, so plan to treat it before use.
