Kidson Lodge

Kidson Lodge (also known as Kidson House) is a private wilderness lodge used as an outdoor education base for Christchurch Boys’ High School, in the Hawdon Valley area of Arthur’s Pass National Park. It sleeps 36 in bunk-style accommodation and is used by affiliated groups rather than being set up for independent public bookings.

If you’re approaching the Hawdon Valley by foot or tramping, plan to connect through the nearby public campsite facilities for access to the wider valley track network; Kidson Lodge itself is the education-lodge base, not the general public trailhead accommodation.
