Lower Cat Wall
Lower Cat Wall is a compact crag in the Arrow Lake area of British Columbia with six listed climbs, ranging from 5.8 to 5.10a. The selection includes mostly sport routes, plus the mixed climb Old Cat, New Trick.
Approach it by parking as for Roadside Wall, crossing the road, and following the cut trail through the forest past a large boulder. Lower Cat Wall is the first wall reached. Veggie Power is the first route encountered and is a 5.8 sport climb protected by seven bolts.
The crag includes Cat-er-waul and Catatonic at 5.10a, Cat Mandu and Cat-er-Pillar at 5.9, and Old Cat, New Trick at 5.8. Cat-er-Pillar is a three-pitch sport route following the pillar between the lower and upper walls; its third pitch is a long, steep slab and the route descends with two long rappels.
