Luxmore Hut
Luxmore Hut is a Department of Conservation backcountry hut on the Kepler Track in Fiordland National Park. It has 54 bunk beds in a communal sleeping layout and sits well above the bush line at 1085 m, accessed as part of the Kepler Track hut system.
In the Great Walks season (27 October 2026–30 April 2027), bookings are required for Great Walk hut stays. Outside the Great Walks season (1 May 2026–26 October 2026), Luxmore Hut still requires bookings. Facilities include mattresses, flushing toilets, cold running water at wash basins, and a communal kitchen area with heating and solar lighting; cooking facilities have fuel but no cooking utensils are provided. During the off-season, gas is not provided and running water inside the hut is turned off, with cooking and water needs handled using the outside water tank or the nearest water course if the tank is frozen.
