Machine Nut Wall
Machine Nut Wall is a small, vertical crag in British Columbia’s West Kootenays. The approach continues beyond the Crystal Blue anchors and past the short bolted slab Edge of Addiction (5.10a); follow the trail to the base of the crag, then turn right and continue along the up-and-down path to the wall.
The routes mix sport, trad, and mixed climbing. Twisted Stalk (5.11a) occupies the middle of the wall and begins with a demanding run-out boulder start. Machine Nut Crack (5.10b) follows a crack before a single bolt-protected face move near the top. Other listed lines include Sunset Boulevard (5.10a, mixed) and Nut Crack Machine (5.10a, trad).
