Mid Styx Hut

Mid Styx Hut is a Department of Conservation basic four-bunk hut in the Kelly Range – Styx River area of New Zealand’s West Coast, set up for backcountry overnighters in the Hokitika area. Use is free and no bookings are required; it’s first come, first served, for stays commonly planned around 2–4 days.

The hut has beds (mattresses provided), a fireplace, and toilet facilities using a pit latrine. Drinking water is not provided.
