Mingha Bivouac

Mingha Bivouac is a small hut in Arthur’s Pass National Park run by the Department of Conservation. It provides two bunk beds and use is free on a first-come, first-served basis (no bookings required).

The hut is a basic two-bunk structure with a fireplace provided and toilet facilities in the form of a pit latrine. It is located in known avalanche paths, so avoid using it during and after heavy snowfall or rain when snow loading is present on the upper mountain slopes.
