Monowai Hut
Monowai Hut is a standard 12-bunk backcountry hut in Fiordland National Park, in the Lake Monowai / Borland Road area. It’s run by the Department of Conservation and used for overnight stays in the Fiordland backcountry.
No bookings are required; it’s first come, first served. Sleeping is provided in the hut (mattresses), with a fireplace and toilets (pit latrine) on site. Use water carefully: drinking water is untreated.
