Newton Creek Hut is a Department of Conservation four-bunk basic hut in the Kelly Range – Styx River area (West Coast). It’s set up for straightforward backcountry use—no drinking water is provided, but it does have a fireplace and toilets (pit latrine). Use is free and no bookings are required; it’s first come, first served.
