Percy Burn Hut

Percy Burn Hut (also known as Rauraku Hut) is a backcountry wilderness hut in Fiordland National Park, used by both maintenance teams and walkers along the South Coast Track / Hump Ridge Track corridor. The hut is operated by the Tuatapere Hump Ridge Track office booking system and requires advance bookings.

Inside, there are bunk beds with capacity for about 16–18 people, plus a wetback-fed shower. The hut provides mattresses, heating, and a pit toilet; there are no cooking facilities, so you’ll need to carry your own portable stove. Fees are $40 NZD per person per night, and advance booking is strictly required.

Rules are oriented around leaving the hut clean and taking out rubbish. Dogs are prohibited on the track and in the park.
