Poulter Bivouac

Poulter Bivouac is a Department of Conservation backcountry hut in Arthur's Pass National Park (Canterbury). It’s a basic two-bunk hut used for backcountry overnighting, with bookings not required—use is first come, first served.

No DOC track access is provided, so you’ll need to plan your route and navigate using map, compass, and GPS. The hut has pit latrine toilets, and there’s no fireplace; it’s also described as having no drinking water available, so plan to bring your own.
