Rainy Day Lake Hut

Rainy Day Lake Hut is a backcountry hut on the Sunshine Coast Trail, perched above Hailstone Bluff and looking out over Rainy Day Lake. The hut sleeps 10 and includes an outhouse, picnic tables, a fire pit, a sleeping loft, and swimming docks; it’s also a short stop for a picnic or a swim before/after the hut walk.

The hut is accessed as a short hike from the Rainy Day Lake Main parking area: it’s about a 15-minute walk from 4×4 parking on Rainy Day Lake Main to the hut area. Park on the main and don’t block access to the lake; volunteers maintain the huts on the Sunshine Coast Trail, and you should pack out your garbage and leave the hut tidy.
