Refuge de Tova
Refuge de Tova (1320 m) is an unguarded backcountry hut in the Corsican mountains near Monte Incudine. It uses the remaining parts of the Tova bergeries: one bergerie remains free for refuge use, and two separate sleeping spaces are available inside the remaining buildings.
Sleeping is tight but straightforward: there are 4 beds with metal mesh frames and no mattresses. The hut includes a wooden table and bench, and there’s also a stone bench outside along the wall of the bergerie. It’s generally well insulated, and water is available from a nearby captured spring close to the refuge.
For access, the hut is reachable either via a 4x4 track from Solaro (about 18 km) or on foot from the Bocca d’Asinau. Use is first-come, first-served (no reservation/booking system), and it’s commonly stocked with mattresses/blankets; a sleeping-bag liner is needed.
