Rodger Inlet Hut (Historic)
Rodger Inlet Hut (Historic) is a two-bunk backcountry hut on the shores of Lake Monowai in Fiordland National Park, run by the Department of Conservation. It’s a historic hut in the Lake Monowai/Borland Road area near the newer Rodger Inlet Hut. Use is free and no bookings are required—access follows a first-come, first-served approach.
Reaching the hut is by boat or on foot via the Rodger Inlet Track (advanced, expert). The hut has mattresses and pit latrines; there’s no fireplace provided. Plan on no drinking water supplied at the hut.
