Alpine hutRosser-Lamb is a primitive wilderness backcountry cabin run by the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club near Shenandoah National Park, in the Entry Run/Pocosin Mission area. It’s a farmhouse-style retreat that sleeps up to 12 people and is set up for longer stays with a fireplace and a screened-in porch.
Use is member-only and reservations are handled through the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club’s cabin reservation system. An outhouse-style toilet is available onsite, and spring water is nearby. Plan to bring what you need for cooking and living in a primitive cabin setup; PATC cabins are equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cookware.
