The Big Boulder
The Big Boulder is a climbing feature within Waterline Walls near Castlegar, British Columbia. The two-pitch sport route Pool Boys crosses the boulder: its 5.8 first pitch traverses right across the slab, while the 5.10b second pitch tackles a steep bulge before easier ground. The route was established by M. Curran and H. Mutch in 2018 and descends by rappelling off V20.
For harder single-pitch climbing, Mansplaining is a 5.12a sport route between Deep End and Deep Throat. It is 24 m long with 10 bolts, and its crux comes after the open-book corner; the line finishes at Pool Boys’ first-pitch anchor.
