Troubridge Hut
Route Details
Troubridge Hut is a fully winterized wilderness cabin on the Sunshine Coast Trail in a bowl beside Jocelyn Pond, below the summit of Mount Troubridge (about 1300 m). Itβs a hut-to-hut destination for both summer and winter trips, with a sleeping capacity of 10 and hut amenities including an outhouse, picnic tables, a fire pit, a full cabin interior, and a swimming dock.
Access is described as starting from Stillwater Main south of Eagle River Bridge, then heading inland to Lois Main, crossing Canoe Main, continuing to Br.41 Junction, and following Br.41 for about 6 km to Elephant Lake spur (park at Elephant Lake). From there, the approach continues by hiking in to Elephant Lake and then about 3 km uphill after turning at Elephant OGMA Junction; additional turns at Rim Junction and past the mud pond lead to the hut. The hut is part of the Sunshine Coast Trail hut-to-hut network; plan around the hut being a cabin-style stay rather than a camping spot.
