Upper Windley Hut
Upper Windley Hut is a basic four-bunk hut in Eyre Mountains/Taka Rā Haka Conservation Park, run by the Department of Conservation in Southland. It’s set up for first come, first served use; bookings aren’t required, and it provides mattresses and toilets with pit latrine disposal.
The hut has no drinking water and no fireplace. Use is free, and the hut is intended for backcountry overnight stays in the Eyre Mountains/Taka Rā Haka Conservation Park area.
