Waikare Junction Hut

Waikare Junction Hut is a backcountry hut operated by the Department of Conservation in the Te Urewera area. The hut has a fireplace, untreated drinking water, mattresses, and toilets with a pit latrine disposal system—so plan to be fully self-sufficient beyond the basic shelter facilities.
