Windy Emergency Shelter

Windy Emergency Shelter is a basic backcountry shelter run by Parks Canada. It’s a cabin-style emergency structure intended for safety use in extreme weather, and it does not charge a fee for use.

There’s no locked access associated with this shelter, so it’s typically treated as an open safety option rather than a reservable roofed accommodation. Bookable reservable accommodations are handled separately through Parks Canada’s reservation system.
