Loading map…

Ces Clark Hut is a Department of Conservation backcountry hut in the Paparoa National Park and Southern Paparoa Range on the West Coast. The hut has 16 bunk beds, and it’s set up for self-contained use with mattresses on the bunks plus gas cooking and sinks with cold running water inside the hut.

Use requires advance booking. Fees are charged per person, per night, with NZ and international rates that differ by season (1 October–30 April vs 1 May–30 September). You’ll need to bring your own cooking equipment and a sleeping bag, and there are no showers. The huts on the Paparoa Track use long drop toilets with toilet paper supplied, and drinking water is cold running water (described as untreated).
