Garden Gully Hut
Garden Gully Hut is a replica historic gold-miner’s hut from the 1930s in the Roaring Meg Ecological Area. It’s set up for day use as a historic site rather than an overnight hut. Use is free for day visits and there’s no overnight accommodation permitted—no beds or bunks for staying overnight.
On-site use includes a toilet and an open fire that’s a dummy/for viewing only, with water available from a nearby stream. If you’re approaching via the Croesus Track, plan to treat the hut as a stop for heritage interpretation and facilities only, and arrange any overnight stay elsewhere on the Paparoa Track network.
