Doubtless Hut

Doubtless Hut is a six-bunk backcountry hut in Lake Sumner Forest Park (Canterbury region), managed by the Department of Conservation. Use is first come, first served and standard hut tickets are used for overnight stays rather than a booking system.

The hut charges nightly fees: adults (18+) pay $10 per night, youth (5–17) $5 per night, and children/infants (0–4) are free. Before arriving, purchase a Standard Hut Ticket for each night and place it in the honesty box at the hut. Dogs are not allowed.

Inside, it has mattresses, a fireplace, and pit latrine toilets; there’s no drinking water supplied.
