Flynns

Flynns is a secluded station hut in New Zealand’s high country at Awapiri Station, used as an exclusive backcountry base for hiking and rugged mountain biking, including e-bikes.

The hut sleeps up to 8 guests, with an extra tent site right outside the door for overflow. It runs off-grid solar for interior lighting and device charging, and includes a log burner plus hot shower access.

Bookings are handled by the station operators, with private access to the whole hut for your dates. For a self-catered stay, bring a sleeping bag and food; wood for the log burner is supplied and eating/cooking utensils are provided.
