Gabriel Hut

Gabriel Hut is a basic four-bunk backcountry hut in Lake Sumner Forest Park (North Canterbury and Arthur’s Pass area), run by the Department of Conservation. Use is first come, first served, with canvas bunks provided and fees not charged for access.

The hut has a fireplace and pit latrine toilets, but no drinking water is provided. Dogs are not allowed.
