Greigs Hut
Greigs Hut is a Department of Conservation standard 15-bunk backcountry hut in the Leatham Conservation Area (Marlborough region). It operates as first come, first served (no standard bookings required), with 14 bunk beds available.
Fees apply and you’ll need a Standard Hut Ticket for each night you stay; alternatively, a Backcountry Hut Pass provides unlimited use at most Standard and Serviced huts for a 12-month period. Current winter-safe planning should include severe weather and road damage considerations in the Marlborough Sounds, and you’ll want to confirm the latest road updates before travelling. The hut has drinking water from an untreated source, a pit latrine, mattresses, and a fireplace.
