Lake Mason Hut

Lake Mason Hut is a private backcountry hut in the Lake Sumner Conservation Park area on the South Island of New Zealand. It sleeps 5 people and is associated with Lake Taylor Station—use requires arranging access in advance with the station/leaseholder before you go.

The hut is equipped with heating, mattresses, lighting, toilets, and a wood stove; a closed fire is available rather than an open fireplace. Contact is provided for the station/leaseholder, and permission is required to visit or stay.
