Mackenzie Hut

Mackenzie Hut is a basic six-bunk backcountry hut in Lake Sumner Forest Park (Canterbury), operated by the Department of Conservation. Use is free and bookings are not required—bunks are first come, first served.

The hut has a fireplace, mattresses, and pit latrines, with toilets provided. Dogs are not allowed.
