Makakoere Hut

Makakoere Hut is a Department of Conservation backcountry hut in the Te Urewera region, set up for tramping parties to overnight in the bush. It has sleeping accommodation (mattresses provided) and a fireplace, with drinking water sourced from untreated supply and toilet facilities using a pit latrine system.
