Mangakirikiri Hut

Mangakirikiri Hut is a DOC backcountry hut in Raukumara Conservation Park on the East Coast, on a high terrace above the Motu–Mangakirikiri confluence. It’s a tidy 6-bunk hut used by hunters and rafters on the Motu River, and it’s one of the remaining huts on the east–west Raukumara traverse (the other is Oronui).

Basic facilities include tank water, an open fire, and a pit latrine. Bookings aren’t required; the hut is first come, first served.
