Refugio Playa Quetro
Refugio Playa Quetro is a small backcountry refuge managed by Direccion de Parques Nacionales in Parque Nacional Perito Moreno, used with a trekking route network around the Peninsula Belgrano. It has room for 3 people and also includes 3 attached camping plots for 1–4 people, making it a tight option when you need an overnight stop close to Playa Quetro. Reservations are required for refuge and/or camping-plot use, and reservations are handled by email to peritomoreno@apn.gob.ar, followed by mandatory completion of the mountain activities registration.
From the hut’s trail context, it sits about 8.1 km from the start of the main trail on Circuito Grande, and it’s one of the most remote refuges in the Peninsula Belgrano. For planning, target it as a destination rather than an intermediate stop, and arrange your reservation and activity registration before you arrive.
