Siberia Hut
Siberia Hut is a standard Department of Conservation backcountry hut in the Leatham Conservation Area (Marlborough region). It sleeps 6 people and is used for basic overnight stays in the South Marlborough area; no bookings are required and stays are first come, first served. The hut is reached by walking from Greigs Hut (about 3 hours one way, roughly 7 km).
To stay overnight, the hut uses a pit latrine for toilets and has mattresses and a fireplace. Fees apply: $10 per night for adults (18+), $5 per night for youth (5–17), and free for children/infants (0–4). After 1 night, the process is to buy a Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, yellow for youth) for each night and place it in the honesty box at the hut, or use a Backcountry Hut Pass for unlimited use at most Standard and Serviced huts for a 12-month period.
