Stanley Vale Hut
Stanley Vale Hut is a basic six-bunk historic hut in the St James Conservation Area, managed by the Department of Conservation. It sleeps six and is used as a backcountry base for multi-day trips into Arthur’s Pass National Park’s wider conservation country.
Use is free and no bookings are required—it's first come, first served. The hut has mattresses, while drinking water and a fireplace are not provided; toilets are available as a pit latrine.
