Whiteleys Hut

Whiteleys Hut is a remote, unstaffed bushwalkers’ refuge on Tasmania’s Central Plateau, near Mount Ironstone. The hut is a corrugated-iron shelter intended for self-sufficient trekkers needing basic protection for overnight stays and emergency shelter; it is free to use and run on a first-come, first-served basis with no bookings accepted.
